Scratch Nights

Each month, Cult Collective hosts a Scratch Night in Kilkenny city, consisting of Kilkenny’s finest multi-disciplinarians. The Scratch Night is a place for practitioners of any art form to try out new material onstage. Interested in finding out more, or fancy a crack at performing? Drop us a line!

Film Screening Nights

In July 2024, we hosted our debut Film Screening Night, organized by Cult’s own Anna Ní Dhúill and Emily McGee. After a sell-out night of eight short films by local creatives, Anna and Emily then planned another short film screening night in October 2024. A third film screening went ahead in January 2025.

Through our screenings we’ve connected many artists and encouraged and nurtured networking opportunities.

We champion films from the south-east and are always committed to shining a light on our community.

Theatre

Ní Liomsa an Teach Álainn Seo

Cult Collective produced ‘Ní Liomsa an Teach Álainn Seo’ for the Galway Theatre Festival 2024. Written and directed by our Creative Director, Anna Ní Dhúill, and produced by Muireann Kavanagh, this was Cult’s first show outside of Kilkenny. We then did a short tour of Ireland and the UK, finishing our run at home, in the Watergate Theatre in May 2025.

Is The World Still My Oyster?

Premiering on Culture Night 2024, Is the World Still My Oyster? is a short play meditating on the role of the artist in society. A two-person piece and Beckettian in nature, Fern Kealy's play is told from the perspective of a struggling artist’s inner monologue. Starring Éadaoin Kennedy and Fiona Bergin, directed by Anna Ní Dhúill, Cult Collective bring the people of Kilkenny their most exciting offering yet.
